About Me
Kathleen Fitzhenry
I’m a proud Karoo woman born and raised near Aberdeen. I spent my school years at Union High School in Graaff-Reinet, where I boarded from Sub A through to Matric.
After years of building a career in corporate life, travelling and exploring the world, I returned home to the Karoo for a more balanced and meaningful lifestyle. Coming back to Graaff-Reinet for semi-retirement was one of the best decisions I ever made.
I absolutely LOVE life in the Karoo.
But like many South Africans, I’ve become increasingly concerned about the rising cost of living — especially the growing price of food, groceries, electricity, fuel, and everyday essentials.
That’s what led me to discover Food Sock Meals.
Thanks to my incredible 85-year-old neighbour introducing me to Food Sock, I found a healthy food solution that turns out to be tasty and convenient, making meals quick and easy to prepare, WITHOUT compromising on good nutrition. By including just one Food Sock Meal portion a day into my routine, I can enjoy balanced meals for under R450 per month. A family of four could potentially enjoy the same benefits for under R1800 per month.
